If you wish to become a father again, you should be aware that it is possible to reverse a vasectomy. Vasectomy reversal is a procedure being requested by more and more males who have had a vasectomy, when family circumstances lead them to want children again.
The success of the procedure depends on how much time has passed since the vasectomy (after two years, the estimated success rate is 70-80% and after 10 years, it is 50%) and on the technique being performed correctly by a surgical specialist. If after one year, no sperm appear in the semen analysis, we consider the technique to have failed and suggest testicular sperm extraction (TESE). To avoid this, we recommend having sperm extracted for freezing during the procedure.
