Sperm FISH analysis (fluorescence in situ hybridization) analysis is used to determine the number of chromosomes and detect the presence of aneuploidies in sperm. A higher frequency of aneuploidies has been identified in the sperm of patients with semen alterations.
This may be responsible for implantation failures and miscarriages. However, these results are not supported by scientific evidence.
Therefore, at FIVMadrid we do not use this method on a regular basis, given its limited prognostic value.
