A good personal routine will prepare you for the big moment, especially in the months prior to starting the family project.

Diet and exercise,
our greatest allies

The exercise routine, combined with our eating habits, are really important. Not only to achieve pregnancy, it is something that will determine the quality of life we have every day.

Regarding food, it is advisable to have a varied diet, in order to absorb as many nutrients as possible. In addition, this will contribute to maintaining good hormonal health.

As for fats, it is necessary to ingest polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fats, such as olive oil, avocados, nuts, etc. and keep saturated fats at bay.

On the other hand, carbohydrates are also necessary, avoiding free sugars as much as possible.

Fruits are preferable to consume whole pieces, since when juicing them, we remove the fiber and quickly absorb the natural sugar.

As for proteins, it is advisable to reduce red meat and consume quality meat (organic or eco). Likewise, it is also advisable to increase the consumption of oily fish and avoid larger fish because of their percentage of mercury.

Above all, the important thing is to consume products of the highest quality and variety possible.

Maintaining a good sleep routine will reduce stress levels

Although punctual stress can be a good natural mechanism for moments of maximum demand, maintaining too high levels can affect our organism.

The best way to avoid this is to ensure our hours of sleep and rest from day to day. To do this, we advise avoiding exciting drinks (such as coffee, tea and alcohol) from 16:00 onwards, as well as avoiding long naps. At bedtime, create an environment that favors sleep: dim the lights and avoid screens and notifications after certain hours.

This, added to a good personal routine that includes activities that we enjoy and relax, should be enough. However, if this is not possible due to external situations, we recommend targeted practices such as meditation or mindfulness.

What should we avoid consuming while we are looking for pregnancy?

There are certain foods or drinks that consuming them in excess could be harmful to us and in times of pregnancy search, it is important to enjoy the best health possible. If you can’t avoid them completely, try to keep them at bay.

Coffee, for example, it would be preferable to drink a maximum of one a day,
since an excess of caffeine could result in a loss of sleep quality. Alcohol, likewise, it is important to consume as little as possible.

With tobacco, the indications are the same as for general health: the ideal would be to eliminate it completely.

It may be costly to eliminate it all at once, but doing it gradually can serve as preparation for the day when pregnancy is achieved.
